Most contractors eat lunch alone in the truck and dinner alone scrolling YouTube. There's no table where owners actually talk to other owners. That's the kitchen-table gap. The Trades Room fills it.
No BNI. No chamber. No elevator speeches.
Just owners who actually run businesses.

Get The Tailgate every Monday.
BNI was too structured. Chamber was a pitch fest. Nobody was just bringing trades owners together for a meal and an honest conversation.
I ran a water filtration business and a lawn irrigation company in the North Houston area. I went to the meetings. I gave the 60-second speeches. I collected business cards I never used.
What I actually wanted was to sit down with other guys running trades businesses and talk about real stuff. How are you handling labor? What's working for your Google reviews? How do you price a job when material costs swing 20% in a month?
Those conversations never happened at BNI. They happened in parking lots after the meeting, if you were lucky.
So I'm building the room where those conversations are the whole point.
That room shows up two ways:
A free weekly newsletter for Texas trades business owners. What's happening in our trade, who's hiring, who's winning. Five minutes. Every Monday at 6 AM.
Six trades owners at one table. Monthly. North Houston first, expanding to all of Texas. No pitching, ever.
The matching algorithm does the heavy lifting. You answer a few quick questions, and you get seated with five guys you'll actually click with — not your competitors, not the same crowd from last year's chamber mixer. Strangers you'll wish you'd met sooner.
Pick a dinner and grab your seat for $15.99 — that reserves your spot at the table. Your food and drinks are on your own tab the night of, split with the table. Then spend two minutes on the matching quiz. That quiz is the magic — it's why nobody leaves bored.
You won't know who's at your table until you walk in. That's part of the fun. Six guys, all trades owners, all matched to you. No icebreakers, no mandatory intros — just order, eat, and talk about what you actually care about.
Walk over to a nearby bar with whoever wants to keep the conversation going. This is where friendships (and sometimes business) actually happen.
Six owners to a table. We keep the tables small on purpose — that's what makes the conversation real.
The first Trades Room dinner in North Houston. Hosted by Guadalajara Harry's. After-party at a nearby bar for anyone who wants to stay.
Premium tier dinner at a Waterway venue. Get on the waitlist and we'll ping you the moment the date is set.
We're expanding across the Texas Triangle. Tell us where you want a dinner — or where you'd help host one.
